Crafty Kitty

I have a routine I like to follow when I get home from work. I get home, feed the cats, work out for 45 minutes. Then I fix myself a drink and resign myself to whatever project I feel like working on. Well, for the past three days I have been working on the marsupial bag from SnB for my brother's girlfriend. I finally finished it last night at around 9:30 and I knew all I had to do was felt it.

Now, I live in an apartment complex but I do have washers and dryers right down the hall from me. However, they do not have all the lovely settings that REAL washers and dryers have. I knew I should wait until I could get to a real washer to do the felting, but I couldn't hold out. The bag was just staring at me last night, shouting "FELT ME, FELT ME." I couldn't resist it's pleading. I felted it.

It really didn't turn out that bad. However, I think I'm going to run it through the washer at my parents house, just because I have a feeling the agitation in that machine will be better than the one in my apartment. I want to get it a little tighter. I had some jeans in there with it, but that just didn't seem to do the trick. Oh well. I still think my brother's girlfriend will like it, even if I don't felt it again.
