Olympic Update III
All I have to say is thank God for snow! Even though I thought I was going to die as I drove home on Thursday, after driving to work only to find out we were closing the office at 9, it was totally worth it to get some serious knitting hours in. And knit away I did! I was able to finish the body of the Ms. Angelica and now I've got half a sleeve done. I expect to finish the rest of that sleeve today and get the other sleeve done by the end of the week. Saturday I'll pick up stitches and do the fancy neckline, then block her good so I can finish by the deadline! Yay! It's taken some serious work to get this far but it feels so good that I can knit a sweater in two weeks. Progress:

The boy and I ventured out on Friday night to hang out with my friend Jacob who I hadn't seen in ages (since Thanksgiving, I think!) even though it was bitterly cold, or as my Dad likes to say, "Cold as a witch's tit." It was so windy and chilly and the boy didn't even have gloves or a scarf. I decided then and there he must have a scarf so on Saturday morning I picked a stitch pattern from my stitch dictionary and started knitting away. It's partly why I don't have most of Angelica done, but I'm confident enough with that deadline that I knew I could start something else. Anyhow, it's progressing quite nicely. It's a pretty easy knit so it's sort of my space out project right now. Check it:

I like the scarf that you started! Angelica is looking good! I think I'm going to add it to my must knit list! ; )
